Qualifying for the World Championship is easy! Simply play 50 18-hole games of Golden Tee LIVE 2008 "PRIZE" or "GLORY" play during the 6-week qualification period. Online qualifying starts on July 1 and ends August 15. You must identify yourself with the same player card during this period. Games played on any other version of Golden Tee will not count. Once you complete 50 games - identifying yourself with your same player card - you are then eligible for the Final Event September 12-13 at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas! Team USA vs. the World! The World Champion Crown up for grabs! Free Golden Tee! – it's the ultimate video golf weekend!

If you plan to attend, simply log in to your web account once you've completed your qualifying games and click on the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION banner. Please only register if you are positive that you will be attending the final in Las Vegas.

The action starts on Friday evening September 12 when all qualifiers are welcome to watch the exciting Team USA vs. the World competition, and play some free Golden Tee on an open machine. Then on Saturday, all eligible players compete in the Main Event competition for $100,000 in cash prizes and the World Championship crown!

Over $100,000 will be awarded to 400+ winners! And the top prize is the biggest in Golden Tee history: $20,000 and the World Champion Title!

The World Championship will be held on Friday and Saturday September 12 & 13 at the Las Vegas Hilton. Friday evening features Team Play, along with practice and lots of free Golden Tee. Saturday is the main event, where all players compete for prize money and the World Champion title!

50 machines will be set to FREE PLAY throughout the tournament!

The festivities kick-off Friday evening with the popular "Team USA vs. the World" team play competition. The event is played for pride and honor, and is arguably the most fun and prestigious in video golf. Last year's match was a real surprise, as the World Team came from behind to tie Team USA!

This year both teams are fired up to claim the Cup for pride and country and show the world once and for all who truly reigns supreme in video golf. Everyone is invited to watch the action, where team strategy and unparalleled skill make every shot important in this unique format.

The Main Event starts on Saturday, where each player will play five games (commonly referred to as "the cycle"), one on each of the five Golden Tee LIVE 2008 courses. Conditions will be the same for all competitors and gold tees will be used.

Total strokes will decide the order of finish with total Great Shot Points as the tiebreaker. The top 32 shooters will then make the cut and play off in a special semi-final round. Head-to-head, single-elimination bracket play will determine the top 8, with tiebreakers decided by sudden death play.

These top 8 players then earn the right to join the 12 Team USA members and the 12 World Team players in the final round, and compete for the World Champion crown. The final round moves once again to the exciting single-elimination bracket, with head-to-head matches determining the final order for these top contenders. All matches are single elimination, adding pressure to every stroke. The final championship match, however, must be won best 2 out of 3.
