Beat the Champ Qualifying Begins February 6

Poster Sobe's got a message for Philadelphia: You're next!

That's right, the three-time Golden Tee national champion is making a stop just outside the City of Brotherly Love for some fun, sight-seeing and Golden Tee.

But in a Beat the Champ first, Sobe's taking an extended stay and having TWO finals.

It all begins March 14 where ground zero will be the Blarney Stone in West Chester, PA where, starting at 7pm, nine Phillies (not the baseball team) will try to join together to take him down. Then Saturday, Sobe takes a trip 9-miles down the road to the town of Glen Mills where at 5pm the champ will take on nine more players at Duffer's Tavern (NOTE FULL DISCLOSURE: tavern not owned by IT employee "Duffer" Dan Schrementi… to his disappointment).

It's going to be an entire weekend of competition, Golden Tee and Sobe. Is there anything better?

Sobe There are two ways to get in on the festivities. Qualify from February 6 to March 6 by being one of the top 12 players with the most games played on an East Coast Vending machine. Players must play a minimum of 20 games. Qualifiers 1-6 will play Sobe Friday night at Blarney Stone, while qualifiers 7-12 will take on the Champ Saturday night.

Players who didn't make the top 12 get another chance. If you've played your 20 games, simply show up to either of the live finals for a chance to win one of the three remaining spots. Three names will be randomly selected at each final to fill out the field of nine.

Players can win a $100 Golden Tee gift card by beating Sobe, or a $50 gift card by having the closest score on each machine.

Plus, all qualifiers in attendance at each final will have an opportunity to be randomly selected to win a Sony PSP! But you can only win by coming out.
