Three-time National Champion Plays the Role of Mentor as He Goes a Perfect 18-0

Fresh off his blowout victory in Wisconsin where he went a perfect 12-0, the three-time Golden Tee national champion made it two perfect cities in a row - shutting out Philadelphia 18-0!

Over a span of two nights and two bars, Sobe proved too much for the City of Brotherly Love. He took down all nine opponents Friday night at the Blarney Stone in West Chester. Then he traveled 9-miles down the road to the town of Glen Mills on Saturday to beat nine more players at Duffer's Tavern.

The 18-0 performance pushes Sobe's Beat The Champ record to 47-7 and 30-0 over his last two cities!

But as impressive as Sobe's play of late has been, it's not his winning streak that he's most proud of.

"The best part about the event in Philly was that I had a chance to teach so many players," commented Sobe. "Everyone learned a lot and the players really enjoyed taking their new knowledge of the game and putting it to good use. That's my favorite part of these events is helping other players improve."

He's not called the Golden Tee Ambassador of Good Will for nothing! As generous as he is good at the game, Sobe made sure to take time with all the players during and after both events, imparting his years of wisdom and knowledge on the players.

Chris Van Horn, tour and promotions director for East Coast Vending, which put on the event, said it was exciting to have a player of Sobe's caliber at their locations teaching their players.

For those who haven't experienced it, Beat the Champ is the Golden Tee sensation that's sweeping the country - with locations in almost every state clamoring for Sobe to make a stop. The format is simple - a crowd of competitors, three or four machines and one champion playing a round against all of them at the same time!

Where will Sobe show up next? Only time will tell… but that city better be ready!
