Golden Tee 2009 Design-a-Hole Contest Update

Design-a-Hole Contest
The Golden Tee conference room was littered with papers, photos and even a 3D model
last Friday April 18, as all fifty Design-a-Hole entries were dissected and scrutinized by the GT judging panel. Each entry was given its time in the spotlight, making for a
long but fruitful day.
After hours of spirited debate and deliberation, Golden Tee co-creators Larry Hodgson and Jim Zielinski made their final choices. Many factors were considered in their decisions, but they mainly focused on creativity, challenge and replayability. They also applied a practical eye to what would fit best with the rest of the upcoming 2009 courses, which are already shaping up to be the best courses ever.
"I was truly impressed with the amount of thought and detail that went into these designs," said Larry. "It's obvious that all of these creators know Golden Tee very well and their passion for the game really showed through." Jim Zielinski agreed. "Some entries focused on a specific theme, while others incorporated a gimmick into their design. But a good number of them presented some very interesting ideas, and choosing the best was tough."
The Design-a-Hole finalists will be displayed on Goldentee.com starting May 1, when public voting begins. Check back soon to view the winners and vote on your favorite. We'll also present some honorable mentions and also-rans in upcoming news stories right here on Goldentee.com.
