Golden Tee Resolutions

As The Calendar Turns, We Break Down Important Dos and Don'ts For 2010

As January hits, Golden Tee players around the globe are given the opportunity to begin the year with a clean slate. Whether you're world champion Andy Haas or just a lunchtime player who gives the trackball a spin once a week – there's always room to improve your game.

It's the little things that make a big difference, both good and bad. Wouldn't it be nice to avoid the tendencies that have plagued your game in years past? Adding to this, how sweet would it be to clean up some of the pure GT fundamentals? And how about the extras to get more out of the playing experience? To kick off the year, we thought we'd offer up some helpful tips on making 2010 the best year of Golden Tee you've ever had.

Enjoy!

ClothingI will tip my bartenders and tendresses extremely well. I will do this because I will get plenty of great deals and free drinks in the long run. While this isn't directly Tee related, more $$$ in my pocket = more potential games of Tee.

I will no longer fear right-1 or left-1 putts. I know they cost me some big scores in 2009, but I will compensate just enough in 2010.

I will get the missing clothing item that has long been absent from my virtual wardrobe and wear this item for more than a week.

I will not start a round with the wrong set of balls or clubs. I will do this by taking 5 seconds before I hit my first tee shot to ensure that I am good to go.

I will ace Southern Oaks 18. I mean how cool is this shot? Okay, so maybe we're shooting for the moon here, but you have to aim high!

I will not par the first hole. And if I do, I will not go on TILT and let it ruin the entire round.

I will work on hitting a better C-3. I’m tired of my drunk, stupid friends outdriving me.

I will not just play the easiest Golden Tee course over and over just so I can go for my all-time best score. I will play each one equally, which will improve my overall game. If not all five, I will at least play more than one because otherwise I'd be lame.

I will learn how to chip with a 5,6,7, and 8-iron from just off the green. If I already know how to chip using these clubs I will learn to do so even better. I will also not miss the putt following the chip if I happen to miss.

I will not DNF. Some rounds might not be your best; in fact, some might be the absolute worst. Still, in the name of good sportsmanship and the possibility of getting my dollar back – I will finish what I start.

I will take a less skilled GT player under my wings and help him improve his game. In return I will only demand a shot and/or a beer every now and then.

Most of all, I will enjoy playing Tee in 2010.

Happy New Year from everyone at Incredible Technologies!
