With GT 2011 In The Air, We Take a Look at The Lighthouse Now That It's Gotten The Jim Z Makeover

The design meets the designer.

The Lighthouse The 2011 Design-a-Hole contest has been over for a few months, but this doesn't mean the excitement is gone. In fact, the entire process is just getting started.

Chris Woody's design, The Lighthouse, was chosen as the winner of this year's contest after prevailing over more than 75 designs. The Lighthouse has since gone from winning sketch to Jim Zielinski's desk, and now Jim has been able to create a rough outline of what you can expect to see in GT 2011.

As mentioned in our Preview of the Lighthouse, Jim took some liberties when creating the foundation for this hole in the game. While you should be able to notice these mild changes once you get to finally tee off, it's obvious that Woody's design will be very much what he had in mind once he gets the era underway at the Golden Tee 2011 World Premiere.
