How To Start A Game

As your game begins, roll the trackball up or down to highlight the number of players in the round and press START to select.

From here, select Casual Play, Skins, Stats Play or LIVE Contests.

Casual Play:
Just play golf! Play a faster and easier game of Golden Tee without all of the bells and whistles of LIVE Play. Play the same courses but with easier conditions and drop spots.

Skins Play:
A perfect twist on traditional golf! Compete against buddies for skins in this casual yet competitive way to play! Win the most skins and take home local GT bragging rights! New to Golden Tee 2010!

Stats Play:
Compete in LIVE contests without the stresses of online leaderboards! Monitor your accolades, earn achievements, use the latest clubs and golf balls, and work on your game while playing LIVE! New to Golden Tee 2010!

LIVE Contests:
Swipe your card, compete in contests, and tee it up! Play for Glory, compete in 18-hole or NEW 9-hole Prize Play competitions, test your luck on Hole-n-Win, or go for the big score playing CTTP!

Glory Play:
Play online in LIVE contests and see how you fare against other players of similar skill! Glory Play ranks you in 20-person contests, for added fun and competition. Based on your SKILL BRACKET, you'll play from one of three tee-zones.

Pro Bracket players play from the RED TEE ZONES

Plays from FRONT tees
Gets only EASY drop zones

Elite Bracket players of intermediate skill may play from the BLUE TEE ZONES

Plays from a mix of FRONT and MIDDLE tees

Playing for GLORY with friends of varying skill?
During a multi-player GLORY game, players have the option to compete from the same random tee boxes despite any difference in their SKILL BRACKET! Press OPTIONS at any time during the round and choose ALL PLAY RANDOM TEES to shoot from the same tee zone as all players in your group!

18-Holes for Prizes:
Pay an extra dollar and compete against fifty similarly skilled players in a LIVE online tournament! Every player in a given tournament plays from the same tees and under the same conditions. In Prize Play, all games are played on Gold Tees, which are a random mixture of all tee boxes. Pro Players win $5 for finishing first and at least $1 for finishing 34th or higher. Elite Players win $10 for first place and at least $1 for 20th place or higher. And even if you don’t win cash, you still win a free virtual golf ball!

9-Holes for Prizes:
New in Golden Tee 2010! This new way to win big offers double the prize pool compared to 18-Hole Prize Play tournaments! These contests consist of random 9-hole setups for each course that are played on Gold Tees. Pay two dollars into the prize pool and have the chance to win $20 for finishing first and $2 for 20th!

Next, select your desired course. Press the blue HELP button for a description of the courses.

After choosing either Stats or Glory Play, players will then be asked whether they would like to play 18-holes, the Front Nine, or the Back Nine.

With the event type and desired course chosen, you will be asked to identify yourself for the contest. By simply swiping a Golden Tee or Silver Strike Bowler's Club Player Card or credit card in the card reader, your Golden Tee LIVE account will be accessed and the ability to compete in LIVE contests will be enabled. No charges are made to credit cards at this time, since this secure and encrypted process is purely for identification purposes only.

Finally, you will be prompted to choose a preferred payment type. Highlight the desired type and press START.

Cash – Insert bills into the acceptor on the front of the cabinet.
Player Account – Use prize money won in past contests to pay for play by debiting your player account. Visit the Player Account FAQ for questions.
Credit Cards – Swipe your Visa® or MasterCard® in the card reader to pay for play!
Gift Card – Swipe your Golden Tee Gift Card in the card reader and get swinging!

Before the round begins a screen displaying your SKILL BRACKET, GT RATING, EVENT TYPE and HANDICAP will be displayed.


	You can press the blue Help button at any time during the check-in process for an explanation of the selections!

Try and use the same card to check in every time you play, so your statistics and winnings can be tracked under one account. Using a different card will set up an all-new player account.
