Find a Golden Tee LIVE game HERE!

When a Golden Tee LIVE machine is not being played, highlight animations, leaderboards and record screens play on a loop. This idle stage is commonly referred to as the "attract mode." Simply walk-up and press START to begin!
While Jim Nantz welcomes you on the upper monitor, roll the trackball up or down to highlight the number of players in the round and press START to select.



Next, select either Casual or Advanced Play.


Casual Play:
Just play golf! Play a faster and easier game of Golden Tee without all of the bells and whistles of LIVE PLAY. Play the same courses but with easier conditions and drop spots. Golden Tee Sampler and Practice Facility (one player game only) available as well!


Advanced Play:
Access ALL of GT LIVE'S online features! Track STATS, play for PRIZES or GLORY, use PREMIUM EQUIPMENT, be a part of CONTESTS, CHAMPIONSHIPS, play HOLE-N-WIN and MORE!


Advanced Play
  • 18 Holes LIVE – Play an entire round for PRIZES or GLORY with players from around the world!
  • 9 Holes LIVE – Play the front or back nine-holes for PRIZES or GLORY with players from around the world!
  • Golden Tee Sampler – Get a random mixture of the five newest Golden Tee LIVE courses.
  • Practice Facility – (Only accessible after selecting One Player) Practice chips, putts, drives and sand shots without ruining your score during a round!

After selecting a 9 or 18-hole event, you must choose whether or not to play for PRIZES.

Prize Play
  • By selecting YES you will be entered into PRIZE PLAY and will be competing in a realtime 50-man contest for a $50 prize pool against players from around the globe! Win $10 for finishing first and $1 for finishing 20th.

    PRIZE PLAY games are all played from Gold Tees, which is a random mixture of all tee boxes. PRIZE PLAY drop zones are STANDARD. Currently, PRIZE PLAY is available on Golden Tee LIVE 2008 courses only.

Glory Play
  • By selecting NO for PRIZES you will be entered into GLORY mode and will compete in a 20-man LIVE contest for the glory of the competition - no prize. Based on your SKILL BRACKET you will be playing from one of three tee-zones.

    Skill Bracket 3 = RED TEE ZONES
    • Plays from FRONT tees

    Skill Bracket 2 = BLUE TEE ZONES
    • Plays from a mix of FRONT and MIDDLE tees
    • Gets only STANDARD drop zones

    Skill Bracket 1 = BLACK TEE ZONES
    • Plays from a mix of MIDDLE and BACK tees
    • Get STANDARD drop zones

    Playing for GLORY with friends of varying skill?
    Press OPTIONS at any time during the round and choose ALL PLAY BLUE/BLACK TEES to shoot from the same tee zone as the best player in your group!

Next, select your desired course. Press the blue HELP button for a description of the courses.

If playing 9-holes, you will be prompted to select front or back.

With the event type and desired course chosen, you will be asked to identify yourself for the contest. By simply swiping a Golden Tee or Silver Strike Bowler's Club PLAYER CARD or credit card in the card reader, your Golden Tee LIVE account will be accessed and the ability to compete in LIVE contests will be enabled. No charges are made to credit cards at this time, since this secure and encrypted process is purely for identification purposes only.

Finally, you will be prompted to choose a preferred payment type. Highlight the desired type and press START.
  • Cash – Insert bills into the acceptor on the front of the cabinet.
  • Player Account – Use prize money won in past contests to pay for play by debiting your player account. Visit the Player Account FAQ for questions.
  • Credit Cards – Swipe your Visa® or MasterCard® in the card reader to pay for play!
  • Gift Card – Swipe your Golden Tee GIFT CARD in the card reader and get swinging!

Press START! Before the round begins a screen displaying your SKILL BRACKET, GT RATING, EVENT TYPE and HANDICAP will be displayed.
Did You Know? You can press the blue Help button at any time during the check-in process for an explanation of the selections!
Try and use the same card to check in every time you play, so your statistics and winnings can be tracked under one account. Using a different card will set up an all-new player account. Sobe Says
